OFSTED

As an OFSTED registered childcare provider (registration number RP547886) we are responsible for each child’s welfare. We are regulated by Ofsted, and are listed on the Early Years Register and compulsory part and a voluntary part of the Childcare Register.

EYFS

Becky and Natalia share the role of key person and we ensure a child is settled, feels confident to find what they need or want to play with independently, and comfortable to ask for help if they need it. Also, a big part of our job is to really get to know each person, and we thoroughly enjoy developing meaningful relationships with all the children we spend time with. We also spent time meeting new parents and carers, to get to know them too and to build an honest working relationship as communication is key to effectively supporting parents/carers and children from when they first start school right up until they move on to Secondary school.

When reception children start with us, we note a few observations as a starting point to find out what things they are good at and what they may need help with then how we can support that.

Through observations, we plan each week learning opportunities and care which support an individual child’s needs e.g. confidence to talk to other people, or creating a space for children to relax.

We always feedback any home communications to school and vice versa, and we will also ask for parental permission first if a child would benefit from us talking to school so we can all provide consistent support together (which may also include specific specialist support too).
