How Kudize Club Ltd will Stay Safe from Sept 2020

Following the Government guidance for Out Of School Clubs published 20/08/20, here is a summary of how Kudize Club Ltd will minimize risk during the COVID-19 outbreak.

 Bubble Grouping

On a child’s first session they will be allocated to a bubble (which will be grouped by School then year group) and during that week we will keep them in that bubble, and as far as possible, we will keep them in the same bubble for every following session.

What we are doing to minimize the risk

  • Bubbles will have a maximum size of 15 children.

  • Bubbles will have their own indoor base and outdoor zone.

  • Hassocks Infant School bubbles will be based in the music room, children will use the disabled toilet and they will have their own access point to the playground, so they are separate from The Windmills Junior School children.

  • We will be playing outside as much as possible as it lowers the risk significantly.

  • We will also ask the children (and staff) to wash or sanitize their hands throughout the session and remind them of the ‘catch it, bin it, kill it’ approach with coughs and sneezes.

  • We will also clean equipment and highly touched surfaces

  • Toilets will also be cleaned regularly and only one child from each bubble will go at any one time.

Due to the current restrictions we currently are unable to prepare hot  food so we are asking parents and carers to pack extra food so children do not get too hungry before they go home for dinner with their family.

At Breakfast club we will provide toast and fruit only.

 Club  Activities

There will be less free-flow between inside and outside, but children will still be able to choose their own play as well as join in with activities we have planned.

We have more outdoor equipment like swingball as well as hoops, rope, balls, racquets. There will also be crafts like kite making, origami boat racing boat, etc. We also have quiet activities also for children to dip into like lego, marble run, plus pens and paper.

Resources and equipment will be allocated to each bubble and only shared within the bubble, routinely cleaned or quarantined for 72 hours before re-circulating.

Breakfast Club Drop Off and After School  Pick Up

In the past parents and carers seemed to arrive in a staggered way rather than en masse, so people just need to maintain the 2 metre social distancing rule at all times and we ask that just one family member does the drop off and pick up. We also ask that you do not use the school car park at this time (at the school’s request), so that you walk your children to the gate using the same one way system that school uses. There are arrows on the pathway so you walk up to school using the path to the left of the driveway, and leave by using the path on the other side.

Children will be ready for collection for 5pm or 6pm depending on your booking,  and bubbles will be released one at time, so please remember to maintain social distance when waiting.

Rather than a face to face chat, If you would like to discuss anything, you are welcome to call Donna or Becky on the  Bat phone 07714 391851 or email

What you need to tell your children

Some children may benefit from knowing what club will be like,  in preparation for coming in September.  They will be placed in a small group with other children from their year and school and they will be shown their bubble base and outdoor zone. There will be lots of outdoor play so it’s important to wear a waterproof coat and footwear if it’s wet. There will be lots of fun things to do and people in their group to play with, but no hugging or wrestling, it’s important to stay within the group, wash hands regularly and listen to the grown ups.

 What you need to bring

    1. A water bottle (we can re-fill it if need be)

    2. A substantial snack (NO NUTS please!)

    3. Infant children: a small amount of raisins to eat before the walk to club

    4. Waterproof coat and footwear for playing outside

    5. Optional: face mask and hand sanitizer

Records for Test & Trace

For Test and Trace, we will keep records of children in bubbles and the staff allocated to that bubble for 21 days.

Important information you need to know before coming

  • Avoid using public transport

  • Only share a car with people within your bubble/household

  • Let us know if using another childcare provider (i.e. a childminder) as we need to keep a record for Test & Trace

  • Anyone who has coronavirus (COVID-19) symptoms, such as a raised temperature, a new persistent cough, or a loss or change to their sense of smell or taste, should stay at home. They should not attend club and should follow Stay at home: guidance for households with possible or confirmed coronavirus (COVID-19) infection and get a test.(

  • It’s also really important that you know that we cannot guarantee to be able to keep your child socially distant, but we will put steps in place to minimise the risk.

  • We may also have to close groups / bubbles at short notice if there is an outbreak of covid- 19.

We also believe that the benefit of play has an enormously positive impact on a child’s wellbeing.
